As designers, we are trained to focus on – and empathize with – the people we design for, creating meaningful experiences that solve actual problems. In this pursuit, we rarely consider the impact our digital design has in terms of its carbon footprint. However, new tools and methods to analyze and expose the CO2 emissions of our digital designs could usher in a new era, allowing us to ask new questions like: How might we solve real problems for real people with impactful design that doesn’t take a toll on our planet?
Join us for a half-day workshop with Jonas Haugaard and Kristian Ohm of the Copenhagen-based digital design agency 1508. You will learn to apply low carbon design to existing solutions, as well as how to use low carbon design as a creative constraint going forward.
